Abstract

Objective To investigate the etiology,clinical features,diagnosis,therapy and prognosis of multiple primary malignant neoplasms( MPMNs). Methods The clinical data of one case of breast,kidney multiple primary malignant neoplasms,which was treated in our department were analyzed,and the literatures related to its incidence,clinical features,diagnosis,therapy and prognosis were reviewed. Results MPMNs had low incidence rate,and breast and kidney multiple primary malignant neoplasms was rare. MPMNs was prone to be misdiagnosed. Conclusions MPMNs may be related to hereditary factors,chemotherapy and radiotherapy. While curing the first cancer,we should be aware of the possibility of MPMNs. Strengthen the understanding of MPMNs,ensure the early diagnosis and standardized individual treatment, can prolong the survival and improve the prognosis of MPMNs.
