Abstract

A 55-year-old farmer was admitted to hospital because of repeated epigastric pain for 2 months and aggravating for 1 wk.The definite diagnosis,made by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)is choledocholithiasis,and the pain was lessened after the operation.But the severe epigastric pain appeared again after the naso-biliary tube was pulled out.So the emergent ERCP was performed and he was diagnosed with biliary tract ascariasis.This case is typical and useful in clinical demonstration.
