Abstract

Closed shell nuclei ranging from 16O to 208Pb are calculated using a density-dependent Hartree-Fock (DDHF) method. The effective interactions applied in these calculations have been derived from one-boson-exchange potentials, which describe the two-nucleon data correctly. The derivation has been made by means of nuclear matter Brueckner theory. The results of the DDHF calculations 3re compared with those obtained by using the Reid soft-core potential and with the experimental data.
