Abstract

A scheme of the one-beam photorefractive novelty filter is realized using the tin tiohypodiphosphate crystal modified by growth conditions. The functionning of the filter is based on the self-induced scattering (beam fanning) of laser light in this crystal. The simplicity of the scheme and high contrast permits to realize the visualization of the moving phase and amplitude objects. A dynamic of the fanning effect and its dependence on the azimuth of the light polarization relative to crystallographic axes is studied.
