Abstract

With the start of the 2010 soccer World Cup imminent, things are a little tense at home. My son, born and bred in the United States, wears his “USA” jersey every day. In retaliation, I wear a replica of the jersey worn by the English team that gloriously won the World Cup in 1966. Our problem is that the United States will play England in June—and one of us is going to be sulking for some time to follow.
