Abstract

The authors make an attempt to describe, analyze and predict the suffosion hazard at the construction and operation of side slopes of road infrastructure, which is due to growing anthropogenic loads on soils. Some preliminary recommendations on its prevention are given. The consequences of underestimation of the slope suffosion hazard are considered using the example of the collapse of concrete slabs on a slope of Shmitovsky passage of the Moscow city in the summer of 2016. The authors present the results of an experiment carried out to verify and study in more detail the features of initiation and development of the considered slope suffosion process.
