Abstract

The photodisintegration of polarized single-particle nuclei is considered in the case of circularly polarized photons and the angular correlation formulae due to theE1-M1 interference are evaluated. Then, the particular case of613C is treated. Numerical calculations show that theE1-M1 interference affects the angular correlations even at low energies, leading to a forward asymmetry in the neutron differential cross-section and to a small distortion of the transversal polarization.
