Abstract

The initial‐boundary value problem (IBVP) for one‐dimensional hydrodynamics equations of compressible nematic liquid crystal material is investigated in this research. With large initial data and vacuum, ‐independent global strong solution is established. Furthermore, for the elastic limit parameter , the vanishing elastic limit is justified by convergence rates in . The obtain results are based on full use of effective viscous flux, the structure of the equations, and the material derivative.
