Abstract

The constant modulus algorithm (CMA) implemented through fractionally-spaced equalisation (FSE) can achieve perfect equalisation in the absence of additive noise. However, when some zeros of the subchannel are close, then it is known that slow convergence is observed. We investigate in this context the use of orthogonal transforms in FSE using CMA. To improve the convergence rate. Simulations are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed techniques.
