On the transverse susceptibility χ xx of the anisotropic one-dimensional XY model in the presence of a magnetic field in the z direction

Abstract

A high-temperature expansion up to order β 6 is given for the transverse susceptibility χ xx of the one-dimensional anisotropic spin-cyclic XY model in the presence of an external magnetic field B in the z direction. It is found that χ xx depends strongly on the anisotropy parameter λ and weakly on B. It is shown that the expression for χ xx is different from its analogue in the c-cyclic XY model, even in the thermodynamic limit.
