Abstract

Pragmatics is closely related to translation. It emphasizes the correct understanding or derivation of communicative information and the effective and appropriate transmission of information. In this paper, based on Verschueren’s theory of language adaptation theory framework, by comparing different translators on the translation of Chinese poetry and analysis, we explore how to adapt to readers’ cognitive hypothesis, choose the appropriate language translation form, fill a vacancy empty point or breakpoint primitive information, communicate to the target language context (mental world and physical world, social world) and language context information of vacancy and pragmatic enrichment, so as to realize the target language the pragmatic functions of equivalence with the original language.
