On the torsional damped vibrations of an elastic half-space under impulsive body force

Abstract

The aim of the present paper is to study displacement due to an impulsive torsional body force, within a Semi-infinite isotropic elastic solid body in the presence of viscous damping as well as solid damping. Certain numerical results of the displacement of the stress-free solid have also been given in graphical form.
