Abstract

In the framework of the frequency-domain theory, transmission-line losses are easily accounted for by means of transversal conductance and longitudinal resistance parameters. We show that the same approach is conceptually wrong as far as the time-domain transmission-line equations are concerned. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 22: 194–197, 1999.
