Abstract

After determining the nonlocal elastic moduli and the constitutive equations used, a brief review of the Kelvin problem in nonlocal setting is given. The Westergaard procedure of transition from the classical Kelvin problem to the classical Boussinesq problem is discussed, and applied to the nonlocal case using Fourier's exponential transformation. An example illustrating the application of the method to calculate the stress system in a nonlocal half-space is given.
