Abstract
A new treatment of the theory of the scattering of slow neutrons by magnetic ions in crystals is given in which the use of different sets of radial integrals for the electron orbital and spin contributions is avoided. This simplification makes it possible to analyse experimental form factor data in terms of a smaller number of radial integrals, commonly two in place of four.
