Abstract
Comparison of many experimental methods and investigation of their systematic errors are indicated for the measurement of the ratio of the epicadmium 238U neutron capture rate to the subcadmium 238U capture rate in a slightly 235U-enriched (1.143%) fuel rod. An explanation of the discrepancy between theory and experiment is given.
