Abstract
Le vishnu a trois tetes de l'ecole de Mathurâ (epoques Gupta et post-Gupta), absent des textes iconographiques, peut etre appele Vaikuntha trimurti. Au VIII s., au Cashmire, ce type se vit adjoindre une quatrieme tete (kapila/raudra) du cote du dos.
