Abstract
This study deals with the surface temperature of Greek seas. The general distribution of this element for the months February, May, August and November is given and the factors controlling the sea-surface temperature are examined. In addition the annual variation and the monthly variability of the sea surface temperature are studied, as well as the difference between the sea-surface and air temperature in three different regions of Greek waters.
