Abstract

The steady flow of a non-equilibrium ionized gas past an insulated sinusoidal wall, in the presence of an aligned magnetic field, is studied in the linearized approximation. The analytical expressions of the perturbations of the flow field is obtained for an arbitrary magnetic Reynolds number. The perturbations are expressed as a sum of two parts propagating along the two straight lines. To show the effects of the relaxation at finite magnetic Reynolds numbers, the drag exerted on the wall is calculated and compared with that of the conventional magnetogas-dynamic flow.
