Abstract

In this note, we are interested in the existence and uniqueness of the steady solutions to N -dimensional bipolar hydrodynamic model of semiconductors. Different from the unipolar case, the time-independent model is an elliptic equation with nonlocal terms. For N = 1 , 2 , we achieve our goal by the calculus of variations, without any additional assumptions on the doping profile and the initial densities.
