Abstract
The existence of the Stark width dependence on the upper-level ionization potential of the quantum transition has been presented for twelve types of transitions in spectra of four doubly ionized atoms: N III, O III, S III and Cl III. On the basis of established regularities the Stark width values for 45 spectral lines, not measured or calculated before, have been predicted. A critical analysis of the existing experimental Stark width data is also given.
