On the Standard H2 Problem

Abstract

This note presents frequency domain solutions of the standard MIMO H2 problem and some non-standard H2 problems. In the standard case the results are equivalent to the well known state space formulae. The non-standard case is a fairly straightforward generalization of the standard case and relies on factorizations over polynomial matrices and stable matrices. Also, a frequency domain formulation of LQR is explored.
