Abstract

AbstractThe singularities in the spin wave and exciton density of states are considered. It is shown that the strongest singularity in the magnon density of states g(ω) has the form g(ω) ∼ |ω – ωc|−½. This singularity is due to the constant‐energy surface. The strongest singularities in the exciton state density are observed for wave vectors which lie on the straight lines directed from the centre of the first Brillouin zone to the centres of its hexagonal faces.
