Abstract

Vector Wiener–Hopi equations previously solved in closed form by using different techniques, involve matrices having a particular structure. A general procedure is given to factorize these matrices; it leads to an approach which, even if sometimes cumbersome, is uniform and allows the solution of new problems. In addition a new method is proposed which transforms simultaneous Wiener–Hopf equations in the form of Fredholm integral equation of the second kind.
