Abstract
Two-electron wave functions which are least distorted from a product of hydrogen atom wave functions have been calculated for the hydrogen molecule at several nuclear separations by solving an equation proposed by the author. From each wave function determined from this equation, two Schrodinger equation eigenfunctions were obtained by symmetry projection. The properties of the author's equation and its solutions for H2 are discussed.
