Abstract

An effective and inexpensive method is described for projecting an image of a high-pressure silica capillary cell so as to be viewed by a large audience. The apparatus is based on an overhead projector deployed in a highly unusual manner. Its use is illustrated by the solubility of guaiazulene in supercritical ethane. The technique has potential applications as a view cell in research laboratories.
