Abstract

The singularity of the time domain magnetic field is derived in terms of the closed-form expression of the magnetic field due to an impulsively excited Rao-Wilton-Glisson basis function. It is shown that the singular contribution depends on the location of the observer on the support of the basis function. The derivation of the singularity is performed completely in the time domain without any approximations.
