Abstract
The average level crossing rates (LCR) and average fade durations (AFD) are useful second-order statistics of a fading channel. In this paper, the LCR and AFD are derived for a dual-hop Weibull fading channel with an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay and a fixed relay gain. Numerical results of the average LCR and AFD are examined for different channel parameters.
