Abstract

The seasonal changes of available nutrition (pH, inorganic nitrogen, available phosphorus, exchangeable calcium, potassium and magnesium) in the surface soil of tea garden were investigated. From the obtained results, the tendencies of seasonal change of these available nutrition in tea soil are generally summarized as follows:1. pH value of tea soil is relatively high from November till March and afterward it drops.2. Inorganic nitrogen and available phosphorus are contained in little quantities from November till March and afterward they increase.3. Exchangeable calcium and magnesium are contained in large quantities from November till March and afterward they decrease, but the change of exchangeable potassium content is not clear.4. It seems that these changes of nutrition in tea soil are largely influenced by the rainfall.
