Abstract

The decline in the literacy rate of school and university graduates is one of the most serious problems of modern Russian education. The purpose of the article is to study the conditions and causes that give rise to this problem. The object of the description is digital technologies that affect the formation of basic communicative competencies of students. With the help of linguistic analysis and comparison of the textual product of technologies with classical texts, the authors investigate the influence of some technologies on language and communicative competencies.
