On the road again: adventures of a dialysis patient and his campervan

Abstract

When William Withers started dialysis as a young adult, the internet did not exist and his knowledge of kidney disease was restricted. Seventeen years later, he started self-caring and receiving nocturnal dialysis at home, which dramatically improved his quality of life. He continues to take his dialysis machine with him around the UK, even going as far as France to play the drums with his blues trio.
