Abstract

We calculate the matrix elements of the vector, axial-vector and pion currents between the nucleon and its excited states, in the framework of the relativistic harmonic oscillator quark model. We use the algebraic method of Feynman, Kislinger and Ravndal, but we adopt Lipes' choice of the fundamental states of the timelike oscillators. We give numerical results for the nucleon axial form factor and for the partial widths of the baryonic resonances decaying into a pion and a nucleon.
