Thronson, H. A., Jr. ; Campbell, M. F. ; Harvey, P. M. Abstract We have considered the problem of using radio continuum observations to predict the midinfrared flux densities of giant HIl regions, both galactic and extragalactic. We find a ratio of absolute midinfrared4o-radio intensity that is almost constant among a large number of bright galactic sources. The currently available data on extragalactic Hil regions are consistent with a similar ratio. We further find, however, that apparently faint galactic sources do not obey the same midinfrared-to-radio continuum relationship.
