On the real part of the proton optical model potential

Abstract

The analysis of 11 MeV proton differential elastic scattering and polarization from over 20 isotopes in the mass region between 48Ti and 76Ge reveals an average set of parameters substantially different from those found at higher energies. The variation of the real well depth as a function of mass number is very smooth but does not follow the expected isotopic spin dependence of the potential.
