Boriakoff, V. Abstract The microstructure of PSR 1133+16 (a pulsar which has two peaks in the average pulse profile) was studied simultaneously at 318 and 196.3 MHz with the 305 m Arecibo radio telescope. A cross-correlation study shows that the microstructure is broad band in this frequency range, and that it follows the interstellar plasma dispersion relation. That is, the emission of a micropulse is simultaneous at 318 and 196.3 MHz at the source. However, the subpulses do not follow the dispersion line but instead follow the dependence of the average profile peak separation with frequency. Implications of these observations for current theories are discussed.
