Abstract
In measures of the radial velocity of α Boötis and β Geminorum, the results for the calcium line at λ 4435·851 (Rowland) are discordant. In both stars, in measures made independently by Mr. Goatcher and the author, the value for this line is too low (positive). The following are the figures:— For this line a shift of λ 1·0 = 67·60 kiloms. per second. The Ca line, therefore, appears to be 0·049 λ to the violet side of its tabular position.
