Abstract
AbstractThe introduction of NaCl into the gel‐forming system sodium alginate‐CaCl2‐H2O allows to obtain monolithic isotropic calcium alginate gels by use of the method of mechanical mixing of the reagent solutions. To reach the maximum firmness of the 1.5% gel the NaCl concentration of 0.1 M is necessary.
