Abstract

The phase transitions in the quantum Heisenberg and XY models with single-ion anisotropy of the easy-plane type and for S=1 (singlet-doublet system) are analyzed with the renormalization group approach. It is found that the T=0 critical properties of such d-dimensional quantum models are the same as those of the ( d+1)-dimensional classical XY model versus temperature.
