This paper is devoted to study the periodic nature of the solution of the following max‐type difference equation: urn:x-wiley:mma:media:mma3296:mma3296-math-0162 where the initial conditions x−2,x−1,x0 are arbitrary positive real numbers and is a periodic sequence of period two.
