Abstract

Pedagogy is simultaneously a science and an art of upbringing and training a child or a young man. Differences in mentality and the ways of thinking and perception of novel ideas are determined both by genetics and the system of views and values inherited from preceding generations. The differences in turn determine the susceptibility of a child to different methods of teaching and training; and technological innovations widely introduced nowadays in the sphere of education inevitably affect the psyche and mentality of a child, “games” with smart devices resulting in not so much intellectual developing as general degradation and light attitude to studies. Pedagogues or teachers should be both well educated specialists with broad erudition and good psychologists in order to be able to carry the children to the world of knowledge and give them back the faith in fairness, nobleness, and high ideals for they do not consider their life as a meaningless being among people who cannot understand them and their desires, but feel the inner need for thinking, analysis, and self-development. A very important role here belongs to plunge into the world of classical works of art, especially musical that ennoble a person. However, modern admass culture impoverishes souls promoting the emotional and spiritual degradation of a person, which inevitably leads to the general intellectual degradation.
