Abstract

The irregular alpha-decay from the 3 + T=0 11.06 MeV state in 16O is calculated in the Cabbibo-model of weak interactions. Including short range correlations via the generalized Bethe Goldstone equation this process seems to be a very favorable one: Γ ir≈3×10 −6 eV.
