Abstract
It is pointed out that in using the Friedberg-Lee nontopological soliton bag model to study the properties of hadrons, caution should be exercised in choosing the parameters of the model. Arbitrary choice of parameters may lead to a mathematically acceptable solution to a problem, but such a solution may have little or no physical significance.
