Abstract
In this paper, we generalize a sufficient optimality condition for optimal control problems as well as some sufficient conditions for the stability of stationary states of modified Hamiltonian dynamical systems. The new conditions are applicable also in growth problems with nonconvex technologies. The main difference between our results and previous ones is that we take into account the cross effects of states and adjoint multipliers (prices) in an essential way. The proof is based on the method of canonical transformations in modified Hamiltonian systems.
