Abstract

The onset of oscillations around the steady state in systems of chemical reactions far from equilibrium is studied in certain specific cases. It is demonstrated that the appearance of oscillations is not followed by any kind of instability but comes progressively, and on modifying the thermodynamic constraints, continuously.
