Abstract

A principle of kinematical relativity is introduced and some consequences are derived. A group of transformations having Poincare transformations as a special case is obtained for any kind of motion. A moving particle is shown to satisfy a variational «principle». Rotating frames are seen not to be «good» frames, and the clock hypothesis to be valid only for uniform rectilinear motion. Two space-time dimension transformations are discussed with further details.
