Abstract

We study the normal number of prime factors of af(p)+ag(p) with p prime and f,g distinct Hecke eigenforms of weight two. Assuming a quasi-generalized Riemann hypothesis, we show that the normal order is loglogp. We also obtain an estimate for the number of primes p for which af(p)+ag(p)=0.
