Abstract

In the text we have referred to the experimental branching ratio of nonleptonic decay of Ω- into Ξ+π Γ(Ω→Ξ0π-)/Γ(Ω→Ξ-π0) = 2.92±0.35 1),2) as the indication of some violation of ΔI = 1/2 rule. The ΔI = 1/2 rule for Ω- decay is a direct consequence of ΔnT=0 rule in s-channel. In view of naive phenomenology, however, the violation is not so serious as its appearance. In fact, the ratio δ = A3/A1 amounts to δ = -0.086±0.030 in the neglect of phase factor, where A2I means the decay amplitude of iso-spin I. The figure should be compared with, e.g., δpv = -0.038 ±0.014, δpc = 0.17±0.09 for Ξ→Nπ decay, etc.2)
