The 1sσ g→2pσ u collisional excitation of fast HD - is unsymmetrical as regards forward or backward ejection of n given fragment at zero scattering angle. The branching ratio σ (D −+H) /σ (H +−D) is equal in both cases to 2.01 ± 0.1.
