Abstract
BM 9000 CS. the QCS system by Yokogawa Electric Corporation, is equipped with many kinds of control functions that cope with various types of paper machines. Among them, this paper presents thelatest CLP profile control algorithm and new grade change control of steam pressure that makes use ofdryer model.The latest CLP profile control adopts finite settling response method that can settle the response tothe objective value in the finite time interval. Moreover, it has the auto-tuning function that defines thecontrol parameters automatically, and adaptive control function that automatically adjusts the controlgain according to cyclic disturbances.The new grade change control that makes use of dryer model is now under development, and thataims to enhance the accuracy of steam pressure prediction and make the work of control tuning moresimple
