Abstract

In this paper a method has been described, which endeavours to determine the elements of the electrical equivalent circuit of a monolithic quartz crystal filter element. The transfer function of the filter and its sensitivities are calculated with recurrent relations. The elements are determined by means of a gradient method and a quadratic error criterion. The values of the amplitude and the phase angle of the transfer function for a number of frequencies in the passband must be known. As a result of the suggested improvements a good determination of the element values of a monolithic crystal filter element with two pairs of electrodes (a dual) can be expected.
